She expresses her art through various media, from temporary architecture to product, event and food design.
Her creations are inspired by the feeling that the time spent around the table with family and friends is the most cherished one.
The fil rouge in all her projects is creating the most charming atmospheres through beautiful designs and delightful menus,
to be fully present and enjoy the moments with our loved ones.
Her career started spontaneously when with her husband she purchased a house in the Emilian countryside for her family.
This was a turning point and would have been the start of her career - with great passion she decided to fully dedicate herself to the restoration and decoration of the interiors.
As the project was completed she naturally engaged in creating her first homeware collections, having a great eye for details.
These creations, like sculptures, lamps, centerpieces and candelabras between many other design objects, employ collage techniques, mixed media on wood or canvas along with fine pieces of Italian antique china, bamboo and iron wares.
With at heart the intention of sharing the beauty her family was experiencing in the newly restored property, she enjoyed organising events at the beginning just for friends to then engage in the activity professionally.
As a creative director and event designer she worked for a couple of years for Italian food brands, designing exhibition stands, along with managing communication, marketing and the brand's image as head graphic and communication designer.
It was such a thrilling time and she was privileged enough to have the possibility to travel extensively and to know and appreciate different cultures.
Her homeware collections expanded further in 2006 when Tabea Liest started experimenting as a textile designer.
She started with hand painted creations to then experiment with printed and embroidered pieces, collaborating with an antique Emilian textile factory.
All her creations, bespoke and hand-crafted in Italy, evoke her Italian roots while being ever sensible to the current aesthetic.
The true inspiration for her art is living and enjoying with lightness of spirit the present moment, accommodating to the seasons passing by, while never forgetting her roots.
